The Studio Centre, the staff there will know exactly what we require for class.

- Dancers who will arrive without appropriate dance attire will be asked to sit out of class. Just like any sport, it's mandatory to have all the pieces to a uniform.

​

- Embracing the belief that dance is for everyone, we encourage dancers to select attire that ensures their comfort and confidence in every step.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT, PRE BALLET & BALLET 
Girls: Black leotard with ballet pink or inclusive tone tights. Pink or inclusive tone leather/canvas ballet slippers (match shoes to tights). No ballet skirts (with the exception of Levels 4,5,6). Hair must be pulled back away from face and into a ballet bun. No ponytail. Warm-ups need to be form fitting, nothing excessively baggy.

Boys: Black tights with white shirts, and *Dance Belt. Black leather/canvas ballet slippers. Hair must be pulled back away from face and into a ballet bun. No ponytail. Warm-ups need to be form fitting, nothing excessively baggy.

 

TAP

Girls: Black leotard with ballet pink or inclusive tone tights. Optional black tights, black lycra leggings, lycra dance shorts. Black tap shoes.  Hair must be pulled back away from face and into a ballet bun. No ponytail. Warm-ups need to be form fitting, nothing excessively baggy.

Boys: White or black fitting shirt with black tights or black lycra dance shorts, dance belt, and black tap shoes. Hair must be pulled back away from face and into a ballet bun. No ponytail. Warm-ups need to be form fitting, nothing excessively baggy.

JAZZ 

Girls: Black leotard with ballet pink or inclusive tone tights. Optional black tights, black lycra leggings, lycra dance shorts. Tan jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled back away from face and into a ballet bun.  Warm-ups need to be form fitting, nothing excessively baggy. Black or White sports bra.

Boys: White or Black fitting shirt with black tights, dance belt, and black jazz shoes. May also wear lycra dance shorts. Hair must be pulled back away from face and into a ballet bun. No ponytail.  Warm-ups need to be form fitting, nothing excessively baggy.

CONTEMPORARY

Same as Jazz. May put on pants that are not excessively baggy. Knee Pads if needed. Hair may be in a pony tail. Dancers will go barefoot. 

​

HIP HOP

Same as Jazz. May put on pants that are not excessively baggy. Dancers may put on a t-shirt that is a solid color or TSC merch. Hair may be in a pony tail. Must have Hip Hop Sneakers that are not worn outside. White High Top Chuck Taylor, or some other white sneaker.

ACRO

Same as Jazz. Dancers will go barefoot.

ADULT CLASSES 

Recommend wearing athletic, form fitting clothing that you feel comfortable moving around in. If you do not have ballet shoes, socks will work just fine. Hair must be pulled back away from face and into a ballet bun or ponytail.

*WHAT IS A DANCE BELT?

A dance belt is a specialized undergarment designed for male dancers, similar in function to an athletic supporter but with a smoother, less bulky profile. It is essential for male dancers to wear a dance belt for two primary reasons: support and aesthetics. Firstly, it provides crucial anatomical support and protection during the rigorous movements of dance, which often involve high impact, jumps, and crossing upper legs in 5th position. This support helps prevent injury and discomfort. Secondly, from an aesthetic standpoint, a dance belt creates a clean, streamlined line under tights or other form-fitting dance attire, ensuring a smooth and professional appearance on stage and in class. Its design minimizes bulk and provides a foundational layer that contributes to the overall presentation of the dancer's form.
