About Tyler Stickel (He/Him)

After many years dancing professionally, Mr. Tyler is excited to be in Ann Arbor, MI. He received his dance training at The Dayton Ballet, Central Florida Ballet, Wright State University and Barbara Rethlake Dance Studio. His career started with being cast in the show Beauty and the Beast at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL. While in Orlando he was a feature dancer in Central Florida Ballet's Nutcracker, and had the opportunity to dance in numerous industrial and corporate events for the Walt Disney World Company. Upon moving to New York City in 2009, Mr. Tyler was cast in the legendary Broadway show, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, alongside the world famous Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Mr. Tyler spent seven years being a featured dancer and swing working through the 2016 Christmas Season. He also had the privilege to work and be cast in the brand new show, Heart and Lights, under the direction of Linda Haberman. Mr. Tyler was in the mini series “Making a Scene with James Franco”, Dancers Responding to AIDS (DRA) Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Dance Festival, Broadway Beat - Dance Concert, Dance Break, and many more.
One of his favorite memories was dancing in the opening number of the American Songbook Awards, with the great Liza Minnelli and Rita Moreno.
 
As a teacher and choreographer, Tyler continues to guest teach master classes, and choreograph for many dance studios around the country. He has choreographed numerous competition routines, show choirs, and musicals. Tyler has choreographed a section for a Walt Disney World event named 'Ghostlight.'
